Le pistolet en silicone d'entraînement Glock 17 est conçu pour l'entraînement le plus sûr possible aux techniques d'autodéfense impliquant l'utilisation d'un pistolet ou aux techniques impliquant des coups de pistolet. Le matériau et la construction utilisés réduisent considérablement le risque de blessure lors de l'entraînement par contact et évitent également d'endommager les sols en bois ou les tapis d'entraînement. La couleur orange signal permet de le distinguer facilement d'une vraie arme à feu. Les bords sont arrondis pour éviter les blessures lors du contact. La zone du canon est renforcée par un tube en acier, sûrement caché à l'intérieur du corps en silicone du pistolet. Ce renfort empêche le pistolet de se plier et lui donne une sensation plus réaliste.
